The customs declaration starts with what you told us is in the box. You can add or correct it any time before the parcel is packed.

A collection window is booked against the branch that will collect, or you have chosen to drop the parcel off yourself.

Either our courier comes to the address you gave us, or you drop the parcel at the branch. Nothing moves until we physically have it.

The parcel is physically with us now, off the collection list and onto the packing bench.

We pack the parcel properly for an international flight and put it on the scale. The weight we measure is the weight you are charged for, and if it differs from the estimate we tell you before anything ships.

The contents declaration and the customs forms, filled in from what you told us. Getting these wrong is the most common reason a parcel is held abroad, so we would rather take a day over it.

Indian customs clears the consignment for export. This is a government step, not ours, so we give a range rather than a date.

The parcel is handed to the airline courier and gets its tracking number. From here it is in transit and you will see each movement on this page.

The parcel has left the carrier's origin hub and is on its way.

Customs in the destination country decides when to release the parcel and occasionally asks the person receiving it for something. This step is theirs, not ours, which is why we give a range rather than a date.

Any import duty or tax the destination country assesses is settled before the parcel continues to local delivery.

The parcel has reached the local facility that will deliver it.
